A new home for much of the information shared with this website and a future forum for all matters raised relating to 11EOD and the ATO trade, will be live shortly. The information provided regarding the issues highlighted has been vast and needs to be appropriately vetted.
It has become clear that reports of a thorough investigation into individuals' conduct were not accurate.
This following update is not directly related to NeilJoynes.com but one individual closely linked to the previous matters raised, who has been repeatedly mentioned in private communications.
In addition to the previous issues raised with his conduct, corroborating accounts report him boasting on separate occasions about being drunk as an EOD Regimental Duty Officer whilst the Manchester Arena Attack was perpetrated.
To be drunk whilst manning a duty is unacceptable by any measure. To boast about it when individuals as young as 8 years old were murdered is an act of such moral turpitude and brazenness, it is highly likely there are a significant number of other incidents regarding this individual that have been ignored by the CoC and his peers around him.
These are the actions of an arrogant sociopath, infatuated with himself and utterly convinced of his own untouchability, not a balanced individual or leader of men and women.
His actions and others have gone unchallenged by the CoC for too long: they have had significant consequences on the morale, cohesion, retention, effectiveness and reputation of EOD and Search. He is not alone.
His sponsors have either been complicit in his behaviour or have been swindled on an enduring basis by a man with little honour or integrity.
If it is not blatantly obvious:
If, as a member of the CoC, you became aware of allegations regarding his (or others) illegal conduct as a Senior Individual and married man, with young females many ranks beneath him; and chose not to investigate or pass the information to an appropriate formation or body: you join him in the filth that surrounds him.
The individuals who protect, support and encourage these characters are as culpable for their behaviour and actions as the individuals themselves. The disproportionate amount of time and effort spent trying to identify the custodians of this website rather than investigate blatant illegal behaviour, has been a telling and chilling indicator of the state of the current leadership.
The Chief of the General Staff:
"Let me clear: it is just not good enough that behaviours that do not match our Values and Standards are still happening. It is even worse if the Chain of Command is not doing enough or is actively complicit in this."
More information regarding that individual will be published shortly to a separate page as will information regarding the failure of the CoC to investigate several individuals.
The consequences of turning a blind eye to morally bankrupt, self-interested deviants who morph during every assignment into what their new CoC desire rather than stand for themselves, for their service people, for their trade, and fundamentally the operational effectiveness of the British Army, as part of a dishonourable transaction for promotion, are stark and significant.
There is some considerable housekeeping that needs to be done.
